Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 symptomatic candidates have been permitted to appear for the NEET UG exam 2020.

As per the latest development, a COVID symptomatic aspirant can now appear for the NEET exam in isolation centre.

Informing about the arrangements made in Odisha for the annual exam, NEET Odisha Convenor Palli Pattnaik said that the invigilators in the isolation centre, where the symptomatic candidates will appear for the exam, will wear proper PPR kits.

Earlier, reports were there that the educational institutions will be directed to make provisions for such students to take exams at a later date when the student is deemed fit.

Meanwhile, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) will run four special trains in the State today in view of the NEET UG exam - Khariar Road to Sambalpur via Titlagarh, Rayagada to Sambalpur, Bhadrak to Bhubaneswar via Cuttack, Keonjhar to Bhubaneswar via Cuttack

All the trains will depart from the respective station at 4 pm today and return after the NEET UG exams are concluded on September 13.

In Bhubaneswar, the examination will be conducted at 31 centres and as many as 15,000 students will be appearing the test amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
