Bhubaneswar: Minister Arun Sahoo finally broke his silence over the sensational kidnap and murder case of a five-year-old girl in Nayagarh which has triggered a massive public outcry as well as a political storm in the State.

Reacting to questions by reporters, the State Higher Education Minister said, "I prayed to God that let the truth prevail and the minor girl get due justice."

Asked whether he meant to say that the girl has not got justice yet, given the fact that one accused has already been arrested in connection with the case, the Minister did not comment further and walked away.

This is for the first time Sahoo, whom the family members of the deceased girl accused of shielding the killer(s), reacted over the matter publicly.

Meanwhile, the Opposition BJP expressed discontent over the probe of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) which claims that the Saroj Sethi, the person arrested is an accused in the case.

Leader of Opposition, Pradipta Kumar Naik said that the SIT probe findings are not believable as they are telling a concocted story to cover up organ theft angle in the case.

Taking to Twitter, he also questioned why the polygraph test of Babuli Nayak was not conducted whom the family members of the minor girl had named as the prime accused in their complaint.

Naik said countless questions are cropping up in the minds of people in Odisha which need to be answered. The BJP leader also demanded before Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for a CBI probe into the matter.
