Bhubaneswar: The BJP Mahila Morcha on Tuesday announced the launch Padyatra across 10,000 locations in the State as it intensifies the demand for justice to the five-year-old Nayagarh girl who was abducted and later killed in July last year.

BJP Mahila Morcha President Smruti Pattanaik, who addressed a presser at Bhubaneswar to announce the decision,  said, "We will stage demonstration at various places across Odisha from today till 12 January. Moreover, we will organise sit in protests at the Collectors' office/s in all districts from January 12 to 15 demanding justice for the Nayagarh minor girl and other missing children."

BJP will continue its protest until the Odisha government brings Special Investigation Team (SIT) chief Arun Bothra and Minister Arun Sahoo under the ambit of the probe into the sensational murder, Patnaik added.

"During the protest, we will be offering diyas at temples across 7000 panchayats, 2500 municipalities and NACs in Odisha," Pattanaik informed.

Meanwhile,  the BJP on Tuesday launched a Padytara in the State capital demanding justice for the Nayagarh minor girl and 5000 other missing children in the State.

Members of the saffron party headed by district president Babu Singh launched the padyatra from Rasulgarh. The rally culminated at Kalpana Chhak.
