Sambalpur:  Ahead of the third phase polls in Odisha, Odisha Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik today again asserted that no national party will get a clear majority at the centre in the crucial 2019 elections.

During a whirlwind tour of Sambalpur, Patnaik said, "No national party will get a clear mandate in the elections. Regional parties will play the kingmaker role."

Political observers are of the opinion that CM Naveen Patnaik is harping on the kingmaker role for regional parties in the upcoming elections only to persuade the voters not to vote for BJP.

Addressing a poll meeting in Kuchinda, Patnaik targeted the BJP-led government at Centre for allegedly conspiring to stop the populist KALIA scheme for the farmers.

The BJD chief once again alleged that no Central leaders have visited Odisha, when the State witnessed severe natural calamities. But the leaders are now making a beeline to Odisha for elections.
