However, the Election - 2019 results proved none a great poll forecaster with respect to Odisha as while Naveen triumphed in the assembly polls, PM Modi recorded a stunning feat of winning 8 LS seats in the State, despite not having as robust cadre network as the BJD. Moreover, PM Modi had clocked a record triumph in nation's poll history when Naveen had often then harped on hung Parliament at every poll meeting in the State.
With both emerging victor in elections, the first ever meet had a big excitement quotient for political observers here. And the body language analysis of the two victors reveals a treasure trove of permutations and combinations for the watchers.
The Modi-Naveen meeting photos released (two photos) by PMO tell an interesting tale. As per the release, one of a handshake between the leaders and the other of a discussion.
As per body language analysis, a microscopic scan of the handshake between Modi-Naveen shows that both leaders had a tight handshake. And the handshake shows that the palms of both the leaders are vertical.
In the body language terminology, such vertical handshakes are described as a 'handshake of equality', which means both the leaders while meeting had in mind that both are equal victors in the battle 2019. And, therefore, the admiration of each other stands reflected in their handshake. Moreover, the tight handholding reveals some deeper bonding between the two leaders.
Besides the handshake, the big open smile of CM Patnaik while greeting PM Modi with a flower bouquet and a handshake emphasises Naveen's happiness quotient with PM Modi. Significantly, smile of Naveen was not cosmetic which was revealed by the characteristic wrinkles marked around his eyes. These signs reveal both leaders have begun a new chemistry in their relationship.
Similarly, PM Modi has had a hearty laugh while greeting Naveen. Moreover, eye contact of both leaders spoke of their comfort level as they looked into each other's eyes. This body language sign also indicated that both leaders are looking into a focussed relationship in future.
