MP Anubhav exposes chinks in Odisha Govt’s 5T implementation

Bhubaneswar: At a time when Odisha government is focusing on the 5T mantra, actor-turned-politician Anubhav Mohanty on Saturday exposed chinks in the existing healthcare services and harassment of patients in Odisha.

The Kendrapara MP, Anubhav Mohanty, who paid a surprise visit to Kendrapara District Headquarters hospital yesterday, expressed concerns after patients and attendants brought allegations that doctors are demanding bribe for treatment.

“Visited several wards of Kendrapara DHH and discussed with patients and attendants on the facilities and problems. I was hurt after learning that money is being demanded for treatment by doctors who have been warned for such unethical practice,” wrote Mohanty in a tweet.

In his tweet, Mohanty further wrote that, “There is a need for infrastructure and human resources to provide better healthcare services to the patients coming to Kendrapara DHH. Such issues will be brought to the notice of Odisha CM for necessary action.”
