Bhubaneswar: As we inch closer to the general elections, Odisha's atmosphere promises to be electrifying for the next three days with Star Campaigners of both the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress bracing up for high voltage poll campaigns in the State. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Odisha today to address rallies in Sundergarh and Sonepur as part of the BJP's election campaign. This will be Modi's second visit to the State this week and the sixth this year.

After landing at Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda, the PM will head to Sundergarh to address a huge public rally at Ropidi. Later in the day, PM Modi will address another campaign rally at Rameswar Stadium in Sonepur. Not to forget, Modi will be the first PM to visit Sonepur district.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is also scheduled to attend a public meeting at Berhampur today. Yogi, along with Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP national Vice-president Jay Panda, senior leader Bijoy Mohapatra will attend party's Vijay Sankalp Samabesh at Ambapua Vivek Vihar in the Silk City.

BJP president Amit Shah will also campaign for party candidates in Odisha on Sunday, i.e. on 7th of April. Shah is slated to address public gatherings at Polasara in Ganjam district and Bargarh tomorrow, as informed by State BJP secretary Jatin Mohanty. Shah would further take out a roadshow from Singha Dwara of Shree Jagannath Temple to Badasankha in Puri on April 9, party sources said.

On the other hand, Congress president Rahul Gandhi, fighting to regain his party’s lost foothold in Odisha, will hit the campaign trail in the State on April 9. Gandhi is likely to attend a public meeting at Digapahandi in Ganjam district on April 9, party sources informed.
