Puri: A day before President Pranab Mukherjee’s two-day visit to the State, the Odisha Police conducted a full-fledged mock drill in the afternoon today to check the security preparedness.

Senior police officials, including DGP Sanjiv Marik, inspector-general R.P. Koche, superintendent of police Asish Kumar Singh took stock of the last-minute security arrangements at the Talabania helipad in the pilgrim city where the President is scheduled to touch down tomorrow afternoon.

Mukherjee, who will be visiting to the holy city for the fourth time since he has taken up presidency, will drive straight to Raj Bhawan and take rest there. Later, he will visit Jagannath temple at 6 pm and will stay there for half an hour.
