Bhubaneswar: The launch of 'Mo Sarkar' initiative to collect feedback from citizens on public service delivery seems to have got the Odisha government officials all charged up. A day after visiting the District Headquarter Hospitals in Koraput, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur, a team of the State government officials led by Secretary of Transformation and Initiatives (5T), VK Pandian today paid a visit to Nuapada and Bhawanipatna to make an overall assessment of the on-ground situation.

Accompanied by National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) director Shalini Pandit, Development Secretary R Balakrishan, Collector Madhusmita Sahu and SP Vineet Agarwal, Pandian first visited the Nuapada district headquarters hospital to review the patient care services and infrastructure at the hospital. He also discussed about the issues concerning the newly-constructed MCH building with the officials of the health department.

Following this, he visited Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district to review the implementation of the Odisha government's Mo Sarkar initiative and 5Ts. He also visited several wards at the Bhawanipatna hospital, free medicine centres and sought feedback from patients and their relatives.

Meanwhile in Sambalpur, Collector Subham Saxena today paid a surprise visit to the Sadar hospital to review implementation of CM Naveen Patnaik’s 5T model of governance. Following a discussion with CDMO and ADMO, it was decided to put up display boards in Odia language at the hospital premises. This apart, a board featuring the hospital map will be put up to facilitate the patients and their attendants. The Collector has also directed officials to bar entry of brokers (dalals) inside the hospital.
