Miscreants loot Rs 19 lakh from Andhra Bank officials in Odisha

Bolangir: Miscreants looted Rs 19 lakh in broad daylight from the officials of Andhra Bank at Bangla Chowk of Deogaon in Bolangir today.

The incident took place when the cashier and a peon of the bank were carrying cash in a van from Tushara branch to Bandhpada branch.

Three robbers on a bike intercepted the car by firing gunshots and attacked the officials and fled the spot with the cash.

The driver sustained serious injuries in the attack, informed sources.

Earlier on September 1, police had arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in the loot at Jamankira branch of Andhra Bank in Sambalpur on August 3.
