Miscreants hurl bombs at lawyer’s house in Khurda

Khurda: The Khurda lawyers’ association on Thursday boycotted court proceedings in the district protesting bombing on the house of a lawyer in Jemadei area under Town police limits here. As per reports, unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at the house of one Satyakam Mahapatra on Wednesday night.

Mahapatra and his family members were sleeping when some assailants threw two bombs targeting their house and fled the spot. The intensity of the bomb was so high that window panes, doors and outer walls of the house got severely damaged.

Though the reason behind the bomb attack is yet to be ascertained, Khurda Town police rushed to the spot and has started a probe into the matter.
