Minor girl 'raped' by father, his friend

 Cuttack: If for children, the safest place is in the arms of their parents, it cannot get more shocking than this. As per allegations, a 9 -year-old girl from Cuttack was raped by her father and his friend.

The incident had allegedly taken place in Dehradun, where the accused was working in a private firm and living with his wife and daughter.

According to the wife of the accused, the survivor was raped by her husband and his friend when she had gone out of the house one day.

"My husband and his friend raped my daughter when we were staying in Dehradun. Following which I had filed an FIR at a police station there. However, during medical examination, he managed to flee," said the survivor's mother.

After returning to Cuttack, the woman filed another complaint. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner of Police has accepted her complaint and ordered an investigation into the case.

This case has been reported at a time when the Odisha government is facing flak over rising number of minor girl rape cases. Questions are being raised on the state government's efficiency in maintaining law and order and claims to ensure security of women.
