Minor Boy 'Hangs Self' After Parents Scold Him For Watching Videos On Mobile

Khordha: In a tragic incident, a 14-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide after he was ticked off by his parents for spending too much time on watching videos on mobile phone.

The incident took place at Gadamanatri village under Begunia police limits in Khordha district on Saturday.

According to reports, on Saturday afternoon, the minor was watching videos on his mobile when his family members snatched the phone away. Later they scolded him for wasting time on binge-watching videos and asked him to concentrate more on his studies.

The boy's parents suspect that enraged by their reprimand, the boy probably hung himself in his room locked from inside. According to reports, the body of the minor has been recovered and sent for autopsy.
