Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths today raided houses of Phulbani mines officer and Athgarh cooperative society secretary in separate cases.

The vigilance team conducted raids at nine places, including the ancestral house of mines officer Prafulla Sethy. Cash worth lakhs has been seized from his house at GGP colony area in Bhubaneswar. Properties worth over Rs 5 crores belonging to Sethy have been unearthed till now. The raid is on and the quantum of properties may rise, an official said.

In another case, the anti-graft agency also raided the house of Dhaipur society secretary Prasant Sahu under Athagarh block cooperative bank.

Four teams conducted simultaneous raids at his houses in Dhaipur, Athagarh, cooperative bank and society office on charges of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income. Sahu allegedly made irregularities in sanctioning loans to farmers.
