Bhubaneswar: With the Men’s Hockey World Cup just days away from kick-start at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha; all eyes will be on the French team which is making a comeback after 28 years.

France men’s hockey team coach, Jeroen Delmee in an interview to OTV sounded confident of a superb show by the team in the upcoming mega tournament in Bhubaneswar.

“We are excited and for France it is great to be back in top tournaments. We have a good group and we are ready as we have played with top teams in the past few months,” said Delmee.

France had last played in a world cup in 1990 and managed to end their barren run by making it to the FIH Men’s Hockey rankings this year.

Delmee further informed that Men’s Hockey World Cup will be an exciting event as the Kalinga Stadium has been renovated and as the crowd is quite supportive, it will encourage the players.

“All players are good in the team. We have to build a team and fight as a team,” Delmee added.
