'Medical Negligence': Tension Erupts At Balasore Hospital Over Youth's Death

Balasore: Tension erupted at the Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital in Balasore district after a youth died while undergoing treatment at the hospital on Monday.

Alleging medical negligence, the family members of the deceased sit on protest and also staged a road blockade by burning tyres on the road in front of the hospital.

As per reports, the youth was brought to the hospital after he complained of chest pain on Monday. However, he breathed his last while sitting at the hospital premise after taking medication.

Angered by the death, relatives of the youth reportedly created ruckus in the hospital and vandalised its Out Patient's Department (OPD).

Later, police forces were deployed at the hospital campus to ward off any untoward incident.

Till the last report came in, police and the local MLA were on the spot and trying to pacify the agitators.
