Maoists oppose road construction, torch JCB in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: Maoists have unleashed terror by torching a JCB machine at Patraput area in Bandaghati village near Andhra-Odisha Border in the district late Thursday night.

According to reports, the ultras set fire to the JCB machine at Bandaghati village protesting the ongoing Goiguda to Bhojiguda construction work.

While the incident has created panic in the area, comment of the concerned police officials of the region could not be obtained even after several attempts.

Earlier in....., the ultras had torched ten vehicles including four tractors, JCB machine and four motorcycles in Rayagada’s Kalyansinghpur block protesting Melkojoba-Niyamgiri road construction work at Narengtola village.
