Phulbani: Fresh posters of CPI (Maoist) extending support to the ongoing farmer agitation under the aegis of Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan (NNKS) have surfaced at two places in Kandhamal district.

The posters released in the name of Odisha State Committee of the outlawed outfit were found at Kukuruma village under Phiringia police limits and Khadir village under Guchhapada police limits in the district.

The red rebels also demanded the release of farmers and farmer leaders who were arrested by the police during the agitation in different places of the State.

Meanwhile, police have seized the posters and started investigation.

Earlier on Sunday, Maoist posters were recovered near Durgapanga village under Kotagarh police limits in Baliguda of the district. Through the posters the red rebels warned villagers to stay away from police and appealed people not to become police informers.

It may be noted that the NNKS have resorted to protest demanding price, prestige and pension for farmers of the State.
