Man Sets Brother On Fire Over Land Dispute In Odisha

Kendrapara: In a gruesome act of violence, a man on Sunday allegedly set his elder brother on fire over land dispute in Jhadamal village under Rajkanika Police limits in the district.

As per the reports, one Pabitra Pradhan poured petrol on his elder brother Bichitra Pradhan in a bid to kill him while he was fast asleep in his home in Jhadamal on Sunday noon.

A critically injured Bichitra rushed out of his house with his body on fire and collapsed on the ground outside. Bystanders rushed him to the Community Health Centre at Rajkanika and later shifted him to SCB Hospital in Cuttack for further treatment.

Sources said that Bichitra's house was completely gutted in the fire during the incident. Police have detained Pabitra in this connection and launched a probe.
