Man kills younger brother over family feud in Kalahandi

Kalahandi: A man allegedly killed his younger brother over family feud at Biswanathpur village under Lanjigarh block in the district on Monday night.

According to sources, the accused Rige Majhi (35) had an altercation with his younger brother Nath Majhi (30) over some financial matter related to their sister's marriage.

Later, Rige became violent and allegedly hit Nath with an axe following which Nath died on the spot.

Soon after the incident, Lakhmi Majhi, wife of the deceased lodged a written complaint at Biswanathpur police station. Based on the complaint, police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.

Later after preliminary interrogation, the cops detained Rige and started an investigation into the incident.
