Man, 3-Yr-Old Son Killed As Bike Catches Fire After Collision With SUV

Bolangir: In a tragic incident, a man and his three-year-old son were killed when the bike they were riding caught fire after a SUV (Bolero jeep) hit it near Jambela square under Tusura police limits in the district on Friday.

The wife of the deceased and another minor son sustained critical injuries in the accident. They have been shifted to hospital.

The mishap took place when the jeep which was reportedly engaged in the Covid-19 duty at Gudvela health centre hit the bike from the rear side. Passersby rescued the one-year-old son and his mother in a pool of blood.

The identity of the deceased and the injured has not yet been ascertained.

On being informed, local fire tenders rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Bolangir.
