Malkangiri Boat Capsize: Bodies Of 3 Missing Persons Recovered

Malkangiri: Bodies of three persons, who went missing after a boat capsized in Balimela Dam in Chitrakonda block of Malkangiri district on Friday, were fished out from deep waters of the reservoir by rescue team on Monday. The death toll in the mishap has now risen to four.

The deceased persons, whose bodies were recovered yesterday, are stated to be close relatives to each other.

A country-made boat reportedly capsized near Ambulibeda earlier on Friday after a high tide hit the boat when four residents of Totaguda village were returning home from Nakamamudi.

While a woman's body was recovered on the same day, the three others continued to remain missing despite two days of search operations.
