Puri: The finalisation of rates for Mahaprasad (Abadha) will be done soon and later a rate chart will be put up at Ananda Bazaar, informed Chief Administrator of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Pradipta Mohapatra today.

The temple administration today carried out the entire cooking of Abadha on the Bhoga Mandap of the shrine to estimate the actual cost incurred in preparation.

According to sources, ingredients & materials for cooking were provided by servitors of Suar Mahasuar Nijog from 'Mahalaxmi Bhandar'.

"The district collector and I had discussions with Suar Mahasuar Nijog and they support the cooking procedure of Abadha at the Bhoga Mandap. After the temple committee gives us a report, we will finalise the rates and put up a chart at Ananda Bazaar," Mohapatra said while addressing the media.

The rate chart will be finalised after including the margin of profit and calculating the expenditure on raw materials, labour, required for preparing Abadha. Apart from that, fees of Supkar, Palia and Pochhia servitors will also be taken into consideration while finalising the rates.

The SJTA chief added that as a part of the administrative reforms, unauthorised people will not be allowed inside Ananda Bazaar.
