Bhubaneswar: After a brief dry spell, several parts of Odisha will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall activity in the next three days, predicted India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday.

As per the latest weather bulletin, a Low Pressure area has formed under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over central parts of Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood. It is likely to become more marked. Initially, it is expected to move north-westwards during the next 48 hours and then north-north-eastwards during subsequent three days.

Under the influence of the low pressure, some parts of Odisha will experience light to moderate rainfall while several others districts will experience heavy rainfall till October 24.

Here is the complete weather outlook issued by IMD:

Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of October 21)

Light to moderate rain / thundershower likely to occur at many places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam and districts of South Odisha, North Coastal Odishaand at isolated places over the districts of North Interior pockets.

Yellow Warning ( Be updated): Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput and Ganjam.

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Nawarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Kalahandi and Kandhamal.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of October 21upto 0830 hrs IST of October 22)

Rain/thundershower to lash districts of Coastal Odisha and at a few places over the districts South Interior Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Dhenkanal.

Yellow Warning ( Be updated):

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak and Balasore.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of October 22 upto 0830 hrs IST of October 23)

Orange Warning (Be prepared): Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Ganjam and Puri.

Yellow Warning ( Be updated): Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore and Jajpur.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of October 23 upto 0830 hrs IST of October 24)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at most places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha and at many places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha and at a few places over the rest districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning ( Be updated): Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak and Balasore.
