Locals attack West Bengal tourists in Baripada

Baripada: In an unfortunate incident, tourists from West Bengal visiting Sitakund in Similipal of Mayurbhanj district were allegedly thrashed by some locals today.

According to reports, local youths had allegedly made some obscene gestures to the tourists hailing from Digha in West Bengal. This led to an altercation between them, following which the locals allegedly thrashed the visitors.

Later the tourists' vehicle was reportedly intercepted by the locals at Baripada, where the visitors were allegedly attacked again; added sources.
