Bhubaneswar: In the lines of mass fund collection drive (Nidhi Samarpan Abhiyan) for Ram Temple In Ayodhya, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has urged Puri King to launch and lead a similar kind of drive for the development of Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri.

In a letter to Gajapati Dibya Singha Deb, Pradhan urged that the drive may well be transformed into a revolution in which all the Hindus across the globe would get a chance to serve Lord Jagannath both physically and through donation for the development of the 12th century shrine.

To make it a success, Pradhan pitched in Centre's legal help too. He requested the Gajapati to act like a bridge between the Centre and State for a smooth realisation of the ambitious drive.

Furthering his intention, Pradhan said that the Banks will be roped in to provide all kinds of financial assistance needed for the cause.

It is pertinent to mention here that, Pradhan on Monday had donated Rs 1 Lakh to the Srimandir from his salary.
