Bhubaneswar: After the Odisha government cancelled the lease for the Ghangapatna land, deals over the forest land have been done illegally for last 10 to 12 years, said Revenue minister Bijayshree Routray on Monday.

“Strong action will be taken against the government officials involved in the wrong doing soon,” the minister added.

It is worth mentioning the land grabbing case came to the light after Khurda district collector and Tehsildar submitted a report about the illegalities in deals of 76 acre government land.

The government has already suspended sub registrar, tehsildar, additional tehsildar and revenue inspector for allegedly cooperating in the sale and purchase of forest lands in Ghangapatna.
