Lady home guard attempts self-immolation in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A lady home guard attempted suicide near Lower PMG square in Bhubaneswar by setting herself on fire after pouring kerosene over her.

Later, the woman was rescued by police. According to sources, she took the extreme step alleging that the Deputy Commissioner of Police had stopped assigning work to her.

Earlier, she had attempted suicide four times and was suspended over different allegations, sources added.

Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar DCP refused to comment on the matter.
