Berhampur: Bodies of three Odia labourers killed in a stone quarry explosion in Andhra Pradesh on August 3 will reach their homes this evening.

As per sources, ambulances carrying the bodies have already left the Hathi Belgal village in Alur block of Kurnool district where the incident took place and will reach Rambha of Ganjam district in 10 hours.

While the deceased Durjyadhana Nahak and Manoranjan Nahak belonged to the Bandhatala Nuagaon village under Rambha police limits, Bhim Nahak was a resident of Radhagobindpur in the district.

Three other workers - Pandab Bahak of Bada Gunjar village, Ramchandra of Bichanabala village and Rajendra of Rambha area left injured in the explosion, are undergoing treatment at the Kurnool hospital, informed sources.

As per sources, the local Tehsildar handed over Rs 10,000 to families of the deceased under Harischandra Yojana on Sunday. Similarly, Rs 5,000 was given to the injured workers.
