Cuttack: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday announced that it will stage demonstration in all blocks of Cuttack district tomorrow demanding immediate arrest of those involved in the murder of party leader Kulamani Baral and his associate.

Informing the decision, Cuttack district President of BJP Prakash Behera has demanded Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's intervention in the matter.

Behera said that the Chief Minister should intervene in the matter as the family members of the slain leader have levelled serious allegations against Mahanga MLA and Law Minister Pratap Jena in the crime.

Similarly, his party colleague and BJP State general secretary Lekhashree Samnatsinghar demanded ouster of Law Minister from the State Cabinet.

In a tweet, Samantsinghar stated that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik should remove Law Minister Pratap Jena from the State Cabinet as he was named in the FIR lodged by the son of the deceased leader.

The son of the deceased BJP leader, Ramakant Baral has alleged involvement of the Law Minister in the crime, saying that the murder was carried out at the behest of the minister.

Ramakant lodged a complaint at Mahanag Police Station, naming 12 persons from Salipur-Mahanga region over their alleged involvement in the ghastly murder.

Earlier, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP national vice president Baijayant Panda demanded stringent action against all accused involved in the crime.
