Kosagumuda Minor Girl Was Not Raped, But Murdered: Post-Mortem Report

Nabarangpur: In a new twist to the alleged gang rape and murder of a 16-year-old tribal girl from Kosagumuda area in Nabarangpur district, the post-mortem report revealed that the girl was not raped.

The victim’s family members said that southern range DIG Satyabrata Bhoi and Nabarangpur SP Kusalkar Nitin Dagdu visited them yesterday and read the post-mortem report saying that the girl was not raped, however, she was murdered.

“The DIG met us and read out the post-mortem report in front of us. He said that the girl was not raped but was strangulated to death,” claimed the victim’s uncle.

“We cannot accept the report. We sense something fishy in the report as the circumstances under which her body was recovered clearly point at rape before murder,” he added.

Besides, Congress leader Pradip Majhi said the 'post mortem report seems to have been prepared by the '3rd Floor' instead of a hospital and hence, the BJD leaders are getting to know the findings ahead of the police.

The minor girl who had gone missing from home on December 13 was found dead the next day in a paddy field with multiple injury marks.
