Karnataka man killed in mishap during thunderstorm in Sonepur

Sonepur: In a tragic incident, a Karnataka man residing at Khuntapali under Dunguripali police limits of Sonepur district was killed after a tree fell on him while he was driving tractor amid thunderstorm in the area Thursday evening.

The deceased identified as Ranjan was working as a harvester in Khuntapali area. Ranjan used to eke out his living by driving tractor and harvest agricultural crops.

As per reports, Ranjan was driving back home after completing work in his farmland yesterday evening when a tree fell on his vehicle during the storm. During the incident, Ranjan sustained severe injuries.

Later, police and fire personnel reached the spot and rescued him after cutting and clearing the tree. But by that time, he had succumbed to his injuries.
