Kandhamal: The BJD workers in Kandhamal district have decided to move Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik against the patry’s Phulbani MP Pratyusha Rajeswari Singh to express their resentment after she failed to attend a party programme at Baliguda in the district.

Reports said Singh was invited to attend ‘Mo Bhabisyata Suraksha Saksharta Abhiyan’ at Trivedi Park in the area on Wedneday. But many BJD activists alleged though the party MP was present in Baliguda, she did not attend the programme drawing flak from party workers and leaders.

"This is an unfortunate incident that the MP was in Baliguda but ignored the party programme and members. The BJD workers of Kandhamal district will meet and submit a memorandum against the MP to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. We do not want to see her anymore in the district," said Tuna Dash, president of the party's Baliguda unit.

Dash further stated if action is not taken against the MP, they will launch an agitation soon.
Sources said the incident clearly indicates a rift in the Kandhamal unit of BJD.
