Bhubaneswar/Rourkela: A couple of days after senior leader Dilip Ray expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for expediting the work for a super speciality hospital and second bridge over Brahmani River in Rourkela, Union Minister Jual Oram today urged Ray to return to BJP.

Dillip Ray's proposals have been accepted by PM Modi and soon work will begin on the 2nd bridge on Brahmani River and a super speciality hospital, Oram said.

Speaking to the media, Oram further said, “After receiving payment details of the funds allocated for the concerned projects, Dillip thanked PM Modi for expediting the work.”

“As everything is clear now, I urge Dilip babu to return and work for the BJP,” said Oram.

Earlier on Thursday, Ray had informed that a budgetary provision of Rs 294.82 Crores has been granted by the Standing Finance Committee (SFC) under the Chairmanship of Secretary, Steel towards up-gradation of IGH into Super-speciality Hospital project.

"In a much-awaited development, the Ministry of Steel has transferred Rs 105.75 Crore for the project of conversion of IGH to a Super-speciality Hospital and PG Medical Education to SAIL and an amount of Rs 98, 27,46,631 (33% of the project cost) has been transferred by RSP to M/S (National Buildings Construction CorporationNBCC for the execution of the project," Ray had written in a Facebook post.

Ray had further added that though work for second bridge over Brahmani River continues to progress at a snail’s pace, the Prime Minister’s office has committed that the execution of the project will be completed by the financial year 2020-21.
