Job aspirants launch protest against Odisha Staff Selection Council

Bhubaneswar: Protesting delay in publication of results, aspirants who appeared for the exam for the post of sub-inspector staged demonstration in front of the Odisha Staff Selection Council's office in Bhubaneswar today.

While the notification for the examination was issued in the year 2015, the main examination was conducted this year on May 20 but the final results are yet to be published, informed sources.

"The notification for the exam was published in 2015. Till now the results are not published. Is it some kind of a game that the government is playing with us?" Jyotirmayi Tripathy, an agitating aspirant said.

The protesters have alleged that despite repeated reminders, the concerned authorities are yet to furnish any satisfactory answer.

They have also threatened to intensify their agitation if the results are not published soon.

"The authorities should give us in writing mentioning the date when the results will be published or else we will intensify our agitation in the coming days," another protester said.

The Odisha Staff Selection Council is yet to respond on the matter.
