Jharsuguda: 2 Women Critical After House Catches Fire

Jharsuguda: Two women suffered serious injuries after one’s house caught fire at Stationpada under Brajrajnagar block in this district on Tuesday.

The injured have been identified as Priya Ghosh and Nisha Patra. Both of them have been admitted to the Ispat General Hospital (IGH), Rourkela in critical condition.

According to reports, Priya’s house caught fire suddenly in the morning. While trying to put out the flames, Priya and her neighbour Nisha suffered serious burn injuries.

Informed, locals and Brajarajnagar police reached the spot and controlled the fire. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the fire.

“We are clueless about the cause of the fire. Even the gas cylinder has not been damaged. My daughter-in-law and a neighbour are seriously injured in the tragic incident,” said Priya’s mother-in law.

It is worth mentioning that Priya is the wife of notorious criminal Sonu Ghosh, who has been involved in more than 51crimes. Now Sonu is languishing in jail as the main conspirator in Amit Dhal’s murder conducted on June 24.
