Bhubaneswar: BJP National Vice-president Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda has refuted allegations of over-staying in the government bungalow allotted to him in New Delhi.

Recently, BJD’s Kendrapara MP Anubhav Mohanty took to Twitter to level the aforementioned allegations against the former Parliamentarian stating that he has not vacated the government bungalow at 02, Mahadev Road in New Delhi.

“Ex-Law Maker Jay Panda has NO respect for Law, Ethics or political morality.13 months after he ceased to be a MP and further after losing the last Lok Sabha elections he continues to forcibly occupy the government bungalow at 02, Mahadev Road,New Delhi,” Mohanty had twitted.

In his post, Mohanty had also uploaded a picture of himself standing in front of the quarters.

However, Panda categorically termed such allegations as ‘politically motivated’.

“As per provisions, I have sought extension by paying rent as per market rate. I have already moved out of the bungalow though some big items are being shifted. Several MPs have visited and seen the bungalow. Such controversies are being created keeping in view the Patkura elections,” said Panda.
