Jajpur Police Busts Inter-State Dacoity Gang, 11 Arrested

Jajpur: Police on Saturday claimed to have busted an inter-state dacoity gang by arresting 11 persons for their involvement in loot incident earlier this month.

Addressing a presser, Jajpur SP Charan Singh Meena informed that the gang was involved in the incident of armed robbery and attack on a jeweller near Brahmabarada village on October 6.

The miscreants had also looted cash of Rs 1.5 lakh from the businessman. While the victim who sustained critical injuries in the attack was immediately shifted to a hospital, police registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter following a complaint.

After tracing the miscreants, police also seized 5 lakh cash, 76-gram gold, 12 kg silver ornaments and a gun from their possession.
