Jajpur: Minor Girl Dies, Sister Critical As Scooter Hits Truck

Jajpur: In a tragic incident, a minor girl died and her elder sister sustained serious injuries after the scooter they were riding hit a truck from behind on National Highway 16 near Rathia area in Dharmasala here on Sunday morning.

According to sources, the mishap took place when the duo lost control over the scooter and it hit a truck from behind. The minor girl died on the spot.

The elder sister, who sustained serious injuries in the mishap, was immediately rushed to the hospital, sources informed.

Earlier in the day, as many as 11 persons sustained injuries after a bus in which they were travelling in overturned on National Highway-16 near Trisulapur area in Bhadrak district.

The accident took place when the bus named Sriananta was on its way to Cuttack from Balasore.
