ITDA Assistant Engineer In Vigilance Net, Search On At His Property

Baripada: Vigilance sleuths today conducted simultaneous raids on houses and office of Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) assistant engineer Durga Madhav Mishra for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Based on corruption allegations against Mishra, the officials of Balasore Vigilance division conducted simultaneous raids on three places including Mishra’s office in Baripada, his flat in Bhubaneswar and paternal house in Nayagarh.

As Mishra’s rented house at Murgabadi Baripada was locked from outside, the anti-corruption team has not been able to search the house. Sources said only after senior officials from Bhubaneswar reach Mishra’s house at Murgabadi, the Vigilance team will raid the house. Surprisingly, Mishra is also missing since last night.

Since searches were still on at other places, the total amount of assets unearthed is yet to be ascertained, said an official.
