Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the much awaited India-West Indies ODI cricket match at Barabati stadium in Cuttack on December 22, Commissionerate Police on Saturday issued special instructions for spectators.
As per decision, stern action will be taken against the spectators who will be found indulging in racial behaviour and passing lewd remarks. Such spectators will be barred from the stadium and necessary action will be taken against them as per law, a senior official said after a review meeting today.
No transistors, mirrors, bugles, crackers, glass objects, helmets and other objects including fruits and water bottles will be allowed. Commissionerate Police officials informed that nets will be installed in all the stands to ensure that no object is thrown into the ground.

Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) officials said that special arrangements will be made to ensure that spectators do not face any problems inside the stadium. Sufficient number of taps in all the galleries and stands would be installed to provide drinking water to spectators. Five additional tanks will be kept in every stand to meet the water requirements.
India and West Indies teams will reach Bhubaneswar on December 19.
