In Pictures: Cold Wave Condition Continues In Odisha; Orange, Yellow Warning Issued For These Districts

Bhubaneswar: The cold wave conditions continued to sweep several parts of Odisha and have now extended further into the North and North-Western districts.

As per the Meteorological department's (MeT) forecast, several places in Odisha endured chilly weather with a sharp drop in mercury levels to below 10 degree Celsius.

As per the forecast, Orange warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj, Angul, and Bargarh, while MeT has issued Yellow warning for 10 districts which include Dhenkanal, Koraput, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Nuapada and Deogarh for the next 24 hours.

Cold wave to severe cold wave conditions are likely to prevail over interior districts of Odisha for three days and the minimum temperature over coastal regions during this period is likely to be 3-4 degree Celsius below normal, informed a senior official of regional IMD centre in Bhubaneswar.
