In Pics: Dense Fog Engulfs Bhubaneswar, Cuttack & Several Parts Of Odisha
Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: A thick blanket of fog engulfed twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and several parts of Odisha on Sunday morning severely affecting the vehicular movement in these regions.
“Fog started engulfing Bhubaneswar from 12 PM yesterday and was visible till the morning today. As a result, visibility reduced to as low as 50 metres,” informed the Regional Meteorological Centre in its latest update today.
Similar fog condition also occurred in several places of Bhadrak, Puri, Jajpur, Berhampur and Balasore, added the Met centre.
The Met Centre has issued yellow warning for dense fog in nine districts of the State including Cuttack, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Kandhamal, Balasore, Angul, Dhenkanal and Kendrapara.
Similarly, shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Angul, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj on January 26, added the Met Centre.
On the other hand, the IMD had earlier predicted that the minimum temperature (Night temperature) may rise gradually by three to four degree Celsius over the districts of interior Odisha and by two to three degrees in coastal Odisha during the next 3-4 days.
