Bhubaneswar: People in interior and coastal districts of Odisha continued to remain in grip of a cold wave on Friday-Saturday as the minimum temperature settled below 10 degrees at many stations, officials said.

"Weather conditions will mostly remain dry in the next 4-5 days. The night temperature is unlikely to drop further or see a major decline in 2-3 days, however, the minimum temperature in coastal districts may remain below normal. In the interior areas too, night temperature will drop by 2-3 degrees below normal temperature," said a senior official of IMD's Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar.

On Friday, Phulbani was coldest at 5.5 degrees Celsius, followed by Daringbadi 6 degrees, Kirei 7, Koraput 8.2, Jharsuguda 8.5 degrees, Sundergarh 8.5 degrees, Bhawanipatna 9, Keonjhar 9.8, Boudh 10, Baripada 10, Ambabhona 10.2, Bolangir 10.6, Sonepur 11, Sambalpur 11.2, Titlagarh 11.5, Talcher 12, Malkangiri 12, Nayagarh 13.2, Chandbali 13, Balasore 13.1, Jajpur 13.1, Derabish 13.6, Chatrapur 14.3. Paradip 15.
