Choudwar: Residents of Choudwar have welcomed the Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Limited's (IMFA) corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities in the town. After a drinking water project by IMFA was inaugurated today at the Saraswati Sisu Vidya Mandir premises in Agrahata, people from all walks of life have said the move will benefit students of the school and others visiting the Agrahata market.

Also, the Ram Leela Community Development Mandap in front of Kali temple in Daulatabad of the town was inaugurated today.

"We had presented the demands before the company. Today, as per the promises made earlier, a cold drinking water project was inaugurated on the school premises," said Bijaya Pratap Sahoo, Pradhan Acharya, Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir.

The school management committee president Rabindranath Nayak said this drinking water project will help students as well as people visiting the market. "We are extremely happy following the project inauguration," he added.

"Our Ram Leela pandal was damaged and we had requested the IMFA authorities to help us in this regard. Following this, the IMFA sanctioned Rs 6 lakh and set up the pandal," said Hadibandhu Biswal, a local resident.

Both the projects were launched by IMFA Senior Vice President, Bijaya Nanda Mohapatra in presence of other senior officials of the company, whereas Public Relation Officer (PRO) of IMFA, Dhruba Charan Rout presided over the inaugural function.
