Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha including coastal districts experienced a dip in maximum temperature following rain and thunderstorm activities on Thursday.

As per India Meteorological Department (IMD), there will be no large change in maximum temperature (Day temperature) over the districts of interior Odisha during next 4-5 days.

“The maximum temperature will fall by 2-4 degree Celsius at many places over the districts of Coastal Odisha today (i.e. 22.04.2021) and again it will rise by 2-4 degrees tomorrow,” said IMD.
Apart from this, several parts of Odisha will experience thunderstorm and lightning activities in the next 48 hours.

Day 1 (valid from 1330 hrs IST of 22.04.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 23.04.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur,Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khordha ,Puri, Nayagarh,Angul, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Boudh, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Koraput andMalkangiri.

Similarly, yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph has been issued for the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khordha ,Puri, Nayagarh,Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Malkangiri, Koraput and Rayagada.

Day 2 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 23.04.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 24.04.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khordha and Mayurbhanj.

Yellow Warning(To be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, Ganjam and Kandhamal.

Day 3 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 24.04.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 25.04.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower verylikely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Gajapati, Ganjam, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

Day 4 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 25.04.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 26.04.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Gajapati, Rayagada and Nabarangpur.

Day 5 (valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.04.2021 up to 0830 hrs IST of 27.04.2021)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
