IMD Issues Rain Alert For Odisha; Dense Fog Warning For 7 Districts

Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha will experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers for the next five days, predicted India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Regional Centre in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.

The weather forecasting agency has said that rain and thunderstorm activities are likely to prevail in Odisha till November 24.

As per the latest bulletin issued by the weather department, dense fog situation will also be experienced in several parts of the State in the next few days.

Here is a complete weather outlook.

Day 1 (Valid from November 19 to 0830 hours of November 20)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Yellow Warning: Dense fog likely to occur at one or two over the districts of Cuttack, Angul, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Kandhamal, Balasore.

Day 2 (Valid From November 20 to 0830 Hours of November 21)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Day 3 (Valid From 0830 November 21 to 0830 Hours of November 22)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Puri, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri.

Day 4 (Valid From 0830 November 22 to 0830 Hours of November 23)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri.

Day 5 (Valid From 0830 November 23 to 0830 Hours of November 24)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Gajapati, Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri, and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
