Two accused have been identified as Dipuna alias Ajit Ray of  Biridi, Jagatsinghpur and Papu alias Ajay Moharana from Ganjam. While 11 cases are pending against Dipu, 10 criminal cases are registered against Papu at various police stations in Cuttack and Jajpur district.

As per reports, the arms were procured from Munger in Bihar and were meant to be sold to local criminal gangs in Odisha. The Chauliaganj Police arrested the duo after getting credible intelligence input regarding their movement.
