Bhubaneswar: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Odisha government on Wednesday appointed senior IAS officer Sanjeev Chopra as the Additional Chief Secretary to Home Department.
The 1990 batch IAS officer was allowed to remain in additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary to Government, G.A. & P.G. Department in addition to his own duties.
Saswata Mishra, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department with addl. charge of Chairman, Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission, Bhubaneswar is appointed as Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Chairman, Odisha Subordinate Staff Selection Commission, Bhubaneswar in addition to his own duties.
Vir Vikram Yadav, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department with addl. charge of Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Co-operation Department, Commissioner, Trade Promotion and Investment, 0/o CRC, New Delhi, Member Secretary, Odisha State Commission for Backward Classes and Chairman, OSWC is appointed as Principal Secretary to Government, Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Deptt.
He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary to Government, Co-operation Department, Commissioner. Trade Promotion and Investment, 0/o CRC, Member Secretary, Odisha State Commission for Backward Classes and Chairman, OSWC in addition to his own duties.
Vishal Kumar Dev, Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Sports & Youth Services Department with additional charge of Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Tourism Deptt, is appointed as Principal Secretary to Government, Sports & Youth Services Department.
He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Principal Secretary to Government, Tourism Deptt.
Similarly, Manish Agarwal, Deputy Secretary to Government, P&C Department is appointed as Joint Secretary to Government, P&C Department while Siddhartha Das, Deputy Secretary to Government, Finance Department with addl. charge of Addl. Director, Directorate of Treasuries and Inspection, Odisha is appointed as Joint Secretary to Government, Finance Department.
He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Additional Director, Directorate of Treasuries and Inspection, Odisha.
Bhupendra Singh Poonia, IAS (RR-2008), State Project Director, OSEPA with additional charge of State Project Director, RMSA, Bhubaneswar and Chairman, CHSE is allowed to continue as such.
The post of State Project Director, OSEPA is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Additional Secretary to Government provided in the IAS cadre of the State.
Yamini Sarangi, IAS (RR-2008), Managing Director, Odisha State Medical Corporation Ltd., Bhubaneswar with additional charge of Commissioner, Food Safety, Odisha, Bhubaneswar is allowed to continue as such. The post of Managing Director, Odisha State Medical Corporation Ltd., Bhubaneswar is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Additional Secretary to Government provided in the IAS cadre of the State.
Dr. M. Muthukumar, IAS (RR-2008), Director, Agriculture & Food Production, Odisha, Bhubaneswar is allowed to continue as such.

Brundaban Behera, IAS(SCS-2008), Director, Higher Secondary Education, Odisha, Bhubaneswar is allowed to continue as such. The post of Director, Higher Secondary Education is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Additional Secretary to Government provided in the IAS cadre of the State.
Ms. P. Anvesha Reddy, IAS (RR-2017), Sub-Collector, Baripada with additional charge of Executive Officer, Baripada Municipality is allowed to continue as such.
