Cuttack: Amidst the ongoing protests in several parts of the country, several organisations in Cuttack came out in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC). A massive rally was organised in the millennium city today to create awareness among people as the organisers claimed that false narratives are being created over CAA and NRC.

Holding placards, the members of Jeeban Kalyan Foundation, a voluntary group took out a rally which covered several prominent locations in Cuttack. The activists claimed that their aim is to spread the message that if we are united, we are strong and we are weak, if divided. The supporters exhorted that everybody should uphold our nation's integrity and support CAA and NRC.

“The rally has been organised to create awareness about CAA as there is a lot of confusion,” said Suresh Mohanty, president of Jeeban Kalyan Foundation.

On December 20, several youths had taken out a rally from Ram Mandir square to Master Canteen in Bhubaneswar to create awareness about the Citizenship Amendment Act.
